Pieter is a Global Automotive Executive, experienced both within OEMs and Retail environments and currently serves as an Advisor to the Roland Berger Expert Group. He held various Head Quarter and Regional Executive Management positions with the BMW Group, Audi and Nissan in South Africa, the USA, Germany and the Middle East. During the past 18 months, he has been contracted by Arthur D. Little, Ernst & Young and Roland Berger Management Consulting, as an Expert Advisor on various automotive projects across the MENA Region and has successfully completed the assignments with the companies and clients. He has participated in several proposals as an External Consultant for MSX International, GP Strategies and Partners in Performance.
He has held leadership positions during 33 years as Sales Director, Marketing Director, Management Committee Member DND&CQ, Business Development Director and GM Marketing. His was employed by the BMW Group globally for 23 years in SA, USA, Germany and Middle East in Sales and Marketing Management and Business Process Re-Engineering Consultant roles (BMW Group Inhouse). His career also includes assignments as Director & Board positions at Audi ME, Nissan, Formula 1-X Franchising.
He offers principled and value-based leadership with well-developed people and communication skills supported by the knowledge and experience to implement and effectively execute operational strategies, maximizing growth, market share and revenue.
